Anne Löhr

Psychologist and therapist (DGSF) she/her

About me

I am a clinical and organizational psychologist, systemic therapist, supervisor and lecturer with additional training in clinical hypnotherapy, psychodrama, family therapy and group counselling.

After years of working in various therapeutic and psychiatric settings as well as leading systemic therapy training I opened my own practice for music industry psychology and mental health care in Berlin in 2016. My work centers around supporting artists and music industry professionals in navigating the delicate balance between personal, artistic, and job-related demands amidst stress and pressure. From tackling performance anxiety to mediating conflicts, handling media attention, and providing burnout prevention strategies, I offer tailored support to individuals and teams.

Beyond individual therapy, I partner with agencies, universities and festivals, conducting workshops and lectures to educate about mental health. Co-founding MiM-Verband (GER) in 2020, I actively engage with organizations fostering sustainability and cultural change in the music sector, aiming to create a positive impact.

My background

After finishing my psychology studies in 2010 I’ve worked across various sectors including in-home family therapy, psychiatry, and youth welfare services. Completing my 3-year training in systemic therapy (DGSF) in 2014, I also started serving as a lecturer in systemic therapy training. Further additional training included clinical hypnotherapy (MEG), psychodrama and crisis management.

As a musician, I’ve witnessed the psychological challenges of the industry firsthand. Special individual and environmental factors are often crucial for success but can also contribute to significant stress and, at times, harm. For almost a decade now, I have combined my expertise working as a music industry psychologist and mental health in music advocate.

My clientele includes DIY artists, emerging talents, as well as established artists and bands. Besides my one-on-one and team sessions, my work encompasses backstage therapeutic coaching and mental health support on tour, band mediation and ongoing psychological support and mentoring for agencies and their artists.

Working with me

I provide a safe space for self-reflection, utilizing a resource-focused approach rooted in humanistic philosophy. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, current situation, needs, and personal history to gain new perspectives, and outline actionable steps for your well-being.

Our work will be collaborative, creative and while our sessions naturally address serious topics, I believe that humor can be a valuable resource! Whether you’re navigating a crisis, seeking support during a vulnerable phase, or looking for ongoing supervision and guidance in your career, I offer personalized psychological assistance. Drawing on my clinical expertise and industry knowledge, I integrate various therapeutic approaches, including systemic therapy, neuropsychology, behavioral therapy, Gestalt therapy, and hypnosystemic therapy as needed.

I’ll also provide practical exercises and insights tailored to your professional reality. The frequency and duration of our sessions will be based on your goals and the content of our work together, aligning with your pace of exploration and development.
