John Bassett

John Bassett is a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice in North and Central London.

Having had a previous career in the music business and with media agencies, John remains interested in the wellbeing of those in the industry, and now works with a wide range of clients across all areas of the music industry – from artists and managers to label staff and producers – and has also worked as a volunteer with charity Music Support.  Together, John and his clients tackle a wide range of presenting issues including stress, anxiety, depression and bereavement.

He has particular training and experience in exploring more complex issues stemming from early life and our closest and long-standing relationships, and he creates a friendly, safe, empathic and confidential environment in which to explore all issues.

John provides short-term and long-term therapy to clients and also has extensive experience with mental health charity Mind, and has been a counsellor to University students and to various public sector and civil service industries.
