Livon Ghermezi is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) practicing in California under the supervision of Christy Merriner, LMFT. She completed a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Michigan State University in 2018, with an emphasis in psychosis research. In 2021, she completed a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University where she honed her personal therapeutic style. Livon approaches therapy from a client-centered approach, believing that the client is the expert in their own life and allowing that expertise to guide the therapy. Additionally, she pulls from several therapeutic approaches, such as Psychodynamic, CBT, Solution-Focused, and Narrative Therapy.

Livon has been working with individuals with a history of relationship problems, anxiety, depression, and severe mental illness since 2017. Additionally, she provides band therapy to musicians who are experiencing communication difficulties within their professional relationship(s). Livon began playing guitar, singing, and writing music when she was 16 and has served as a confidant to many of her musician friends throughout the years. As an AMFT, she is now able to provide support to fellow artists in need. By tailoring therapeutic treatments to individuals in therapy, she is able to work collaboratively with clients to find a treatment plan that works best for them. Livon provides clients with a non-judgmental and empathic atmosphere to confidently tackle their therapeutic goals. Livon is currently providing therapy online.
