Lou is a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and trauma consultant who worked at “The Priory” in London for over a decade and has been in private practice in Central London + Surrey for many years.
Lou’s main interest and specialist subject is trauma and its many symptoms, such as; addiction, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD and phobias. Alongside her qualifications in psychotherapy, Lou uses EMDR (eye movement densizitation reprocessing), clinical hypnosis, EFT (emotional freedom technique) and NLP techniques in her work. She has also studied many eastern philosophies, sages and spiritual teachers and incorporates those more holistic, mindful and body approach principles into her work as well.
Lou’s first foray into music was whilst managing bands in her early 20’s. She then worked with artists and labels whilst at Capital Radio and latterly Heart 106.2 putting bands on stage at live events. Over the past 17 years Lou’s role in music has changed to that of a coach/therapist working with many Management companies and directly with artists with performance related issues. Whilst also assisting managers with their own presenting problems such as how to implement better boundaries and overcome burn out.
Lou is also Founder of “The Voyage” a soon to be released affordable online therapeutic programme + forum designed specifically to help people recover from childhood sexual abuse.
