Leily Labuda
Psychotherapist (MA, LMFT) she / her / hers
About me
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles. I specialize in treating trauma through an attachment and relational lens. I am committed to helping my clients heal from past wounds and cultivate healthier connections with themselves and others. Utilizing evidence-based treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness, I offer a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy.
In my practice, I have had the privilege of working extensively with creatives who often feel stuck in their relationships and careers. Whether you’re an artist grappling with self-doubt or a professional navigating the complexities of the creative industry, I am here to offer compassionate support and practical guidance.
My background
I began my professional career in the entertainment industry, starting in talent management and eventually moving to record labels producing music videos. I spent 10 years at Capitol Records and later as a freelance commissioner working closely with artists, management and creatives on the production team. I have great insight to the intricacies of the creative process, navigating the politics and the demands of life as an artist.
In my experience, the draw to the music industry often intertwines with its demanding nature, leading to stressors that can take a toll on mental well-being. Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed firsthand the pressures that artists and industry professionals face, from navigating the creative process to managing the politics and demands of the field.
From burnout to substance abuse and a spectrum of mental health concerns, I’ve seen the toll these challenges can take. My experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of how to support clients grappling with these issues.
Working with me
I provide a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their emotions, navigate life-stressors, and embark on a journey toward healthy self-acceptance.
With a focus on processing painful and traumatic emotions, my therapeutic approach is centered on fostering healing, gaining new insights, and taking practical steps toward personal growth. I believe in creating a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their inner world and discover their inherent strengths.
My goal is to empower my clients to break free from limitations, explore their inner resources, and create meaningful change in their lives. Together, we will work to gain awareness, cultivate resilience, and foster deeper connections—both within themselves and with others.
