Chris Madden
Chris Madden is an experienced BACP registered integrative counselling psychotherapist, based in Leeds (UK) working in-person and online. He is trauma informed and his therapeutic approach is flexible and collaborative, he meets each person as an individual, working at their pace to explore, navigate and resolve uncomfortable feelings or experiences that cause distress. He works with relational issues, people who bring a lived experience of neurodiversity (particularly ADHD/ADD), addictive behaviours, anxiety, and with a broad range of stress related mental health issues including anger management and burn-out.
Prior to retraining Chris spent 20+ years in the music industry in artist management, record label ownership and promotions management. He has held roles as a Head of Counselling/ Wellbeing at the specialist music/live events university, mental health advisory panel member (Help Musicians UK) and lecturers in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Leeds Beckett University. He is a senior psychotherapist for BAPAM (British Association for Performing Arts Medicine), a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and director of Park Place Practice Therapy Rooms in Leeds.
He is a music lover, a passionate advocate for better mental health in the music industries and delighted to be a member of MITC.
