Psychotherapist (PGDip, UKCP reg) she / her / hers
About me
How you feel about your musicality, your creative output, your ability to ‘show up’ to it, your confidence, your joy (whether it’s there, or not at all) can reveal so much about where your mental health is at.
The issues you face as musicians often run deeper than just technical problems. It’s important to look at the bigger picture and that’s what I am here to help you explore.
My approach is based in Relational Transactional Analysis (TA). What I personally love about this style of TA is that it offers a user-friendly and pragmatic way to explore, clarify and understand emotional, psychological and behavioural problems and experiences and how they have unconsciously developed.
We’ll work together to understand how you communicate not only with different aspects of yourself (both internally and externally), but others –including your music– through the container of our relationship in the therapy room.
My background
I happen to speak fluent musician. Auditions, pressure, burnout, social media… I get it all. We’ll tackle every part of the music journey together.
I understand the things you’re dealing with in a very real way because I’ve also walked this (at times, very painful) road myself. My professional flute career has meant I’ve worked in many diverse parts of the industry: from touring Bollywood in India to the Buenos Aires tango scene to London’s esteemed classical conservatories.

Working with me
Clients have said I’m warm, supportive, and easy talk to. I’ll not shy from using humour together to share a deep belly laugh if it’s appropriate. I’m about as far away as you can get from any stereotyped notion of an aloof, blank-faced therapist. I fully bring all parts of myself in this space (Female, Latina, Expat, Mother, Therapist, Flautist, Academic). Every piece, every shadow and light have a place in our work together.
Anything that needs addressing in our sessions won’t be sugar coated, but I will always speak to you with kindness, compassion and respect. I care deeply for my clients and this will hopefully be apparent as our therapeutic relationship deepens over time in your sessions.
My psychotherapy practice boldly strives to be: anti-oppressive, anti-discriminatory, anti-stigma, anti-racist and anti-ableist. However you choose to express and identify yourself in this world, you are most welcome here.
