Jodi Mishcon
Psychotherapist (PGDip, MBACP)
About me
I am a London based therapist with experience of working with a range of difficulties including anxiety, trauma, depression, unsatisfactory relationships, sexual abuse, sexuality & identity, life stage crisis, loss & bereavement and other concerns that make life feel difficult to navigate. I have specialist training in eating disorders, group work and trauma informed therapy and I am also a qualified life coach. I do not believe that one size fits all, so I draw upon many modalities depending on the person sitting in front of me.
I am passionate about mental health support being available and easily accessible and acceptable for all.
My background
I spent over twelve years working in the entertainment industry both in London and LA, for most of which I was working as an artist manager for high profile acts and personalities. On a daily basis, I worked alongside record companies, press & media teams, producers and promoters often on tour and around the globe.
It is because of this experience that I have a thorough understanding of the unique struggles that arise within the industry and the importance of providing a safe and confidential space.
I integrate both my knowledge of the music industry and my work as a therapist to provide a moment to stop, think and process in a world that is fast paced and exhilarating, but which can also be disheartening, lonely and overwhelming.
Working with me
At the core of my practice is my belief in the importance of seeing the individual in front of me and I aim to hear and learn to understand your needs in relation to you. You can expect to feel listened to, understood and supported.
I offer open-ended, 50-minute weekly sessions (sometimes twice a week if needed), providing openness and curiosity in a creative and flexible environment in which you can feel safe enough to explore all parts of yourself, including those that might feel challenging or unacceptable. I hope that our work together will enable you to begin to heal and grow.
