Our Mission

Our Mission

The music industry is an unpredictable and competitive environment, with many stressful factors to negotiate including: touring; fame and celebrity; career uncertainty and transitions; creative collaboration; stress and burnout; depression; boundary management; the pressure to gain and maintain success; identity issues; self-doubt; performance/social/financial anxiety; weathering negative critique; addiction; balancing personal and professional needs; unsociable working hours; discrimination; sexual assault, trauma, grooming and rape; conflict and complex working relationships; loneliness and isolation, to name just a few. When stressors exceed your coping threshold, and are chronic and prolonged, they may lead to mental health problems developing or worsening.

The Music Industry Therapist Collective believes that those working in the industry deserve access to high quality, culturally sensitive psychotherapy from experienced psychotherapists who have an in-depth inside understanding of how the music industry works. We know the ropes and we speak your language.
